Sossussvlei Lodge is proud to be an ecologically conscious establishment in a country that focus on nature and eco-tourism. We have been granted with an Eco Award for planning and managing Sossusvlei Lodge according to eco-friendly principles.
We are adhering strictly to water saving measures and save even more water by weekly transporting our linen in bulk to Windhoek to be laundered there. We are continuously monitoring the level of our bore hole on the premises to successfully manage the ground water.
Only bio degradable cleaning materials and products are used to ensure a minimal impact, if any, on our natural environment.
Waste gets sorted to be reused where possible and the rest gets compacted, cooled and stored for weekly transport to a managed dump site in Windhoek.
Solar energy is generated and used where possible.
Continuously new initiatives get implemented to make Sossusvlei Lodge even more sustainable.
